Josuke Higashikata (東方 仗助, Higashikata Jōsuke, 助 "suke" can also be read "jo") is the main protagonist of Part IV: Diamond is Unbreakable. He starts the series as a high school freshman in the town of Morioh. His Part in the story begins as Jotaro is looking for him, as Josuke is the illegitimate son of Jotaro's grandfather, Joseph Joestar.

AppearanceEdit

Josuke's most noticeable feature is his Pompadour hairstyle. Despite its unusual appearance, Josuke treasures it greatly as it is styled after the hairdo of an unknown man who had saved his life by pushing his car out of the snow by putting his jacket under the wheels back when Josuke was ill as a child. Because of this, he is known to go on a rampage anytime his hair is mentioned in a negative connotation.

As for his clothing, Josuke wears a standard Japanese school uniform, with a dark blue color similar to Jotaro's part III attire. However, his general color scheme is depicted differently in many color spreads as per the usual. He usually keeps the top few buttons of his jacket unbuttoned, which reveals his green colored undershirt with a zipper on each side. On each of his lapels he has a gold emblem attached; The right side has an emblem of a peace sign, while the left has one of a heart with a hand in it (the same design as the one on Jotaro's hat). On the collar of his jacket, The left side has the gold emblem of an anchor, while the other has 3 hearts. He also has a gold band on each of the wrists. Being a high school student, he wears this throughout the series, along with an expensive ¥25,000 pair of black Bally shoes and Mr. Junko Original Socks.
